It’s Indiana Restoration’s 35-Year Anniversary

Indiana Restoration is marking a milestone on January 2nd; over three decades of making life easier for homeowners across North America!

To celebrate, we are taking you behind the scenes with Dan & Darren, highlighting their journey of creating a Restoration company from the ground up, and some of their favorite memories along the way. So here it goes!

How did IRCS start?

No fancy story here! Right after high school, a good family friend, Jerry Jackson, suggested that we should start a business-so we did! Being a self-made businessman himself, he said to us ‘skip college, don’t waste your money on going, and go out there to start a business instead.

Why did you guys start IRCS?

When we knew we wanted to start a business together, we needed to figure out what was needed. We liked working with people, we wanted to help people, and we saw there was a need for commercial cleaning services. Our first ever job was at American National Bank (now closed) which used to be on the corner of 9th & Logan street.

Favorite memories in the last 35 years?

One time we had over 100 people at a mold job at St. Francis University. That still is our biggest job to date!

All the states and towns we have seen while delivering equipment to different parts of the country for natural disasters.

One Christmas, all the IRCS employees collected money and made a surprise donation on Darren and Dan’s behalf to Jerry Jackson’s daughter, Shannon Jackson, who had recently been hit by a drunk driver. Both Dan and Darren were utterly surprised and moved by their team’s generosity to a family friend.

We had been driving a huge trailer of equipment from Long Island, NY to Florida and the GPS drove them right through the middle of Time Square. The anxiety of hauling a trailer through Time Square was at an all-time high. It made for great accidental exposure though!

The first-ever IRCS snow day. The polar vortex (either in 18’ or 19’) created a foot+ of snow with negative temperatures. We were all out of equipment and it was nearly impossible to get to customers to help. It was the first time ever they had to shut their doors. They couldn’t help anyone even if they wanted to!

Indiana Restoration acknowledges that the company’s longevity and growth couldn’t have been achieved without the strong relationships we have built over the years. We want to thank our employees, a network of partners, and our valued customers who have stood by us. Although times have been tough over the past few years for many, we are incredibly grateful — without each of you, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

From all of us at Indiana Restoration, we sincerely thank you!
Dan & Darren
